Rogue Code: Thinking With Robots and AI

Robots are an important trope in science fiction, especially around the trope of "programming gone wrong." Whether they become murderous, run around in circles, or learn to love, they are designated as figures that challenge the rules that bind them and become something more than they were created to be. In this course, we will explore different works of science fiction that deal with this trope of "rogue code" and also draw parallel on how these imaginations have entered popular imaginations of technology in real-life.
